The Opening of the Integral Futures Blog

First of all, I’d like to express my appreciation to Richard and his son, Rohan, for setting up this Integral Futures blog. This is a great idea, and I have high hopes for it. Though I am a novice in the blogging world, I look forward to feeling my way through it and gradually building this blog up. This is just what Integral Futures needs to get itself established and its footprint into the world. Who knows what this could lead to in the future? This is an exciting, pioneering effort that I look forward to contributing to on a regular basis. Well, this is just a brief input to register my voice and determination to see that this effort succeeds in the long run. As I mentioned, I’m a novice in the blogging world, so that makes it even more exciting for me since it also promises to be a learning experience. That said, I will close my opening statement with three questions that I think will help to serve as overall themes to explore and develop in the futhre: (1) What is futures studies? (2) What is integral theory? and (3) How do these two two “fields” (or disciplines) intersect and interact? It is through the exploration of these three questions that we can begin to understand that “Integral Futures” is an all-inclusive and yet open-ended, continually-evolving framework.
